St. Paul Choir will make our 2nd annual trip to the Grotto in Portland to sing at the beautiful “Grotto Festival of Lights,” and you are invited!!
Join us on Saturday, December 15
th, for a full ½ day pilgrimage and festive fellowship excursion to the “National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother” for the annual “Grotto Festival of Lights.”
The cost of the trip is $60 per person and includes a charter bus to and from the Grotto, dinner, and admission to the festival. To reserve your seat, pre-purchase your ticket at the Parish Office or

The Itinerary is as follows: 1:30 pm: meet at St. Paul Parish Center; enjoy a mug of warm “wassail” as we load buses.
2:00-4: 30 pm travel to the Grotto in NW Portland on an Experience Oregon bus. We will begin our trip by praying the Rosary together, and then enjoy fellowship (and some carols!) during the ride up.
5:00 Grotto opens, guests may walk the grounds
5:15-5:45: St. Paul Choir sings a selection of beautiful Christmas and Advent music in the Chapel.
5:45-6:15: More time to walk around the Grotto, pray at the beautiful Shrine to Our Lady, which is situated in an outdoor rock Grotto (hence the name), enjoy the beautiful lights, visit the gift shop, or listen to music.
6:15: Load bus and travel to dinner location (approx. 2 miles)
6:30-8:30: Brewer’s Buffet Dinner at the Laurelwood Pub. The menu includes Ceasar Salad, Slow Roasted Pork in Au Jus, Chicken Piccata, roasted potatoes, and seasonal veggies. A cash bar will be available.
8:30 Load buses for Eugene
Approx 10:30 pm: Unload at St. Paul

The festival features more than 170 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region’s finest school, church, and civic choirs. Offering a family-oriented blend of traditional celebration and serene reflection, the festival theme reflects the special season of hope that Christmas offers to many thousands of families from around the Pacific Northwest. Five indoor concerts are scheduled each evening in The Grotto’s 600-seat chapel, known for its cathedral quality acoustics.
